The best way of stopping smoking is to simply stop and never have another cigarette again. That is of course easier said that done. There are very few people that can do that. It is not an easy way, but it is the best way. If you stop smoking, it only takes 3 days for the Nicotine to leave your body completely. That means that any cravings that you may have, are completely psychological and this is where the problem lies. This is also why I don’t believe that things like Niquitin CQ or Niquitin lozenges actually work.
I know that many people swear by them and I often hear that people have quit smoking many times with them, the curious thing of course is that people do start smoking again after a while, and there is definitely something in the age old adage ‘once a smoker, always a smoker’. However, other people fare pretty well with Niquitin minis, which are the latest tablets or lozenges. They help you to gradually reduce the amount of nicotine you put into your body and I suppose they also stop the habit of smoking too.
However, there can be something habit forming in nicotine replacement products, and it is possible to simply move the addiction from cigarettes to lozenges instead. Do also be aware of the changes in your body and your mind as the nicotine is drawn out and you quite for good. It can be a hellish ride, but once on the other side, you will be forever grateful.
